Matt Coy

Matt Coy has a broad range of work experience in various environmental and engineering roles. Matt began their career in 2012 as a Stormwater Management Surveyor for King County, WA. In 2014, Matt joined WaterTectonics as a Water Treatment Operator and CESCL, where they worked until 2018. Matt then joined Clark Construction Group, LLC as an Environmental Compliance Inspector for a year. In 2018, Matt transitioned to the City of Kent, WA as an Environmental Specialist. Currently, they are working as a Senior Engineering Technician for the City of Bellevue, WA, starting in 2022. Matt has acquired substantial expertise in environmental compliance, water treatment, and stormwater management throughout their career.

Matt Coy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including CPR/First Aid Certified from Basic Plus in October 2016, OHSA 10 from AdvanceOnline Solutions, Inc. in May 2014, Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL) from Eco-3 in April 2017, Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) - 40hr from OTS Systems in November 2017, Certified Chitosan Enhanced Sand Filtration (CESF) Operator from WaterTectonics in July 2014. Matt also holds a Confined Space Entry certification from Compliance Training Online® and Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) certification.
