Mgis Darci Smith

GIS Lead - Utilities at CITY OF BELLEVUE

Darci Smith has extensive work experience in the field of GIS. Darci currently works as the GIS Lead - Utilities for the City of Bellevue, Washington since July 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of GIS Coordinator and GIS Analyst II for the City of Enumclaw from March 2017 to January 2021. In this role, they were responsible for managing GIS data development and maintenance, overseeing GIS analysis and projects, and developing data collection forms.

Darci also worked as a GIS Analyst for Anchor QEA, LLC from August 2012 to March 2017. Here, they focused on research and development of Collector for ArcGIS and implemented it on a project scale. Darci also built web-enabled maps for use with Collector and conducted real-time analysis of field-collected data.

Darci's other previous roles include being a GIS Specialist for ActioNet, a Graduate Research Assistant at Idaho State University, GIS Intern at City of Mercer Island, and Public Works GIS Intern/Tech at City of Burien. Darci also worked as a GIS Avian Research Analysis Assistant for NYC Parks and Rec, where they compiled avian observation data into a GIS database and contributed to mapping trails and assets.

Darci Smith, MGIS, holds a Master of Science degree in Geospatial Science from Idaho State University, which was obtained from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Western Washington University from 2003 to 2007, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Natural Resource Management.

In addition to their educational accomplishments, Darci Smith has also obtained a certification as a Certified Cartegraph Administrator from Cartegraph, upon completion in April 2021.
