Ben Kort is a seasoned GIS professional with extensive experience in geographic information systems spanning various roles within government and nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as a Senior GIS Analyst for the City of Bellingham since October 2023, Ben designs and administers GIS mapping and data publishing applications. Prior to this, Ben was the GIS Manager for Island County WA, overseeing strategic planning and budget management for the county's GIS. Experience also includes roles at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, where Ben focused on water quality data visualization, and earlier positions involving geospatial data analysis and environmental restoration. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
