Don Burdick, GISP has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information technology services and GIS coordination. Don began their career in 1997 as a GIS Senior Analyst, where they managed GIS application development and mapping projects, performed system and business analysis, and ensured data integrity and completeness. Don then moved on to serve as a GIS Manager, overseeing the technical operation of the City GIS, planning and budgeting for GIS projects, and managing a team of staff. Don later became a GIS/Technical Services Manager, where they expanded their responsibilities to include budgeting, system administration, and integration with other essential business systems. Don successfully implemented an award-winning web application integrating GIS with maintenance management, county assessor, utility billing, and document management systems. Don's work experience also includes roles as a GIS Project Manager/GIS Coordinator, Acting Applications Manager, and Director of Information Technology Services at the City of Bellingham, where they provided leadership and direction in the development, maintenance, and operation of technology services to support effective public service delivery. Additionally, Don served as the Treasurer of WAURISA (Washington URISA) from 2011 to 2018, responsible for managing the Chapter's finances and submitting financial reports. Don also worked as a Partner at Salish Coast Sciences, performing GIS upgrades and implementations, establishing data management processes, and conducting GIS needs assessments.
Don Burdick, GISP has a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from City University of Seattle.
