Tim Shek is an experienced urban planner with a diverse background in various planning roles, currently serving as an Associate Planner, and previously as an Assistant Planner and Planning Technician at the City of Belmont, CA since February 2017. Prior experience includes work as a Facility Planner at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff and an Instructor at Nurture thru Nature, focusing on designing greenspaces for children and families. Tim has also contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Latino Arts and Culture, and served in the Peace Corps as a Water & Sanitation Specialist. Early career experiences include roles such as Merchandise Coordinator at Williams-Sonoma and Photo Assistant at Chris Shao Photography. Tim holds a Master in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from San Jose State University.
