Aleks Wolan

Aleks Wolan currently serves as Chief of Staff for the City of Berkeley since September 2023, having previously held the roles of Chief of Staff and Legislative and Communications Director in the New York State Assembly from October 2018 to January 2023, specifically for Assemblymember Dan Quart. Prior to these positions, Wolan worked as an Account Coordinator at Butler Associates, LLC., and as an intern in social impact and philanthropy at BerlinRosen. Earlier experience includes roles as a Student Ambassador at Save the Children Action Network, a Campaign Intern for Tammy Duckworth for Senate, and an intern for Congressman Mike Quigley. Academically, Wolan earned a Master of Arts in United Nations and Global Policy from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Illinois State University.
