Anne Hersch

Anne Hersch, AICP, is an experienced planning professional currently serving as the Land Use Planning Manager for the City of Berkeley since October 2023, leading a division of 30 employees. Prior roles include Assistant Director of Community Development at the City of Dublin, CA, and Planning Manager for the City of Antioch, where responsibilities encompassed managing current and long-range planning efforts and coordinating with the Planning Commission. Previously, as Planning Manager and City Planner for the City of Albany, Hersch oversaw planning functions, provided staff liaison services to various commissions, and presented to the City Council. Hersch's career also includes various roles in the City of Pinole, City of Rancho Cordova, and an internship in Shaker Heights. Hersch earned a Master’s degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University.
