Henry Bankhead

Henry Bankhead is an experienced library professional currently serving as the Deputy Director of Library Services for the City of Berkeley since January 2023. Prior to this role, Henry held the position of Assistant Library and Recreation Director / City Librarian for the City of San Rafael from August 2015 to January 2023. Henry's career also includes significant roles such as Town Librarian and Library Manager for Adult Services in the Town of Los Gatos from June 2007 to August 2015, and Librarian at the Santa Clara County Library District from June 2002 to June 2007. Educationally, Henry Bankhead holds a Master of Library and Information Science from San José State University, a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Stanford University.
