Marcela Sabin

Community Health Worker Specialist, Family Advocate at City of Berkeley

Marcela Sabin is a seasoned professional in community health and advocacy, currently serving as a Community Health Worker Specialist and Family Advocate for the City of Berkeley since June 2007. In addition to this role, Marcela is the President, co-founder, and co-chair of Circle of Ancestors, a position held since 2006. Previous experience includes serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Indigenous Mind Concentration, Wisdom University, and as a Family Advocate at Head Start of Berkeley from 2002 to 2007. Marcela also coordinated programs with Instituto Nacional Indigenista in 2001, focusing on cultural and artistic initiatives for indigenous Mexican children. Academically, Marcela holds a Master’s degree in Creation Spirituality with a concentration in Indigenous Mind from Naropa University and a Licenciatura in Psychology from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, complemented by a degree in Expresion Corporal from Escuela Nacional Superior de Danzas Maria Ruanova.
