Jerry Gerlach has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Jerry worked as the Information Technology Director for the City of Biddeford, Maine from 2000 to present, where they were responsible for determining, acquiring and implementing technology for the municipality. Jerry provided support for multiple locations, created and maintained the IT department budget, and implemented city-wide WAN/LAN. Jerry also managed and maintained virtual servers, collaborated with department heads, provided training to end users, and established positive vendor relationships. In addition, Jerry worked as the Manager of R&D at Computer Expertise from 1990 to 1999, where they focused on vehicle classification, toll collection automation, and PC repair.

Jerry Gerlach graduated from Windham High School in Windham, Maine, in 1984, earning a diploma. Jerry then attended the New England School of Communications, where they obtained a certificate in Sound Recording and TV Production. In terms of additional certifications, Jerry obtained a Cybersecurity Investigations certification from the Department of Homeland Security, National Protection and Programs Directive, Office of Cybersecurity & Communications in January 2016. Additionally, they achieved a VMWare Certified Virtualization Expert certification from VMware in February 2009.
