Director Of Creative Placemaking at City of Bloomington, MN

Alejandra Pelinka serves as the Director of Creative Placemaking for the City of Bloomington, MN, since June 2016, overseeing the implementation of a Creative Placemaking Plan in collaboration with various stakeholders and the nonprofit partner, Artistry. Prior to this role, Alejandra held the position of Executive Director at the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association from December 2010 to June 2016 and served as the Art Gallery Director & Office Manager at Ames Center from December 2008 to August 2011. Alejandra's earlier experience includes working as the Office Manager & Volunteer/Intern Coordinator at Intermedia Arts from April 2007 to December 2008. Educational qualifications include a degree in Art History from the University of Minnesota, along with additional training from the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture and studies at Gustavus Adolphus College.
