Chris Carpenter

Chris Carpenter is an experienced professional in technical direction and production management within the performing arts sector. Currently serving as an Arts Center Maintenance Specialist for the City of Bloomington, MN since April 2023, Chris has concurrently held the position of Technical Director at ISD 196 since January 2022. Previous roles include Production Manager and Technical Director at Artistry from November 2014 to January 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing technical operations and scenic design. Chris also served as Technical Director for Lakeville Area Public Schools ISD 194, focusing on scenic element design and student education in technical theatre from 2011 to January 2015. Additional experience includes Technical Manager at Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts and Technical Director at Mounds Park Academy, where Chris managed technical needs for performances and taught technical theatre classes. Earlier experience includes work as a Scenic Carpenter and Welder for the Children's Theatre Company. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Theater with a focus on Design and Production from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
