Matthew Genard

Matthew Genard currently serves as an Engineering Technician for the City of Bloomington, IL, focusing on managing all GIS-related aspects of the city's Water Department since August 2023. Previously, Matthew contributed as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Illinois State University from August 2022 to May 2023, collaborating with Dr. Reecia Orzeck and Professor Adam Bauer in Human Geography and World Geography courses. Prior experience includes a role as Kitchen Manager at Firehouse Pizza from August 2017 to December 2022, and a Geographic Information System Intern for the City of East Peoria during the summer of 2022. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Illinois State University (August 2021 - May 2023) and an Associate's degree in General Studies from Illinois Central College (August 2018 - May 2021).
