Dennis Dovel

Dennis Dovel is an experienced professional in parks and recreation management with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Assistant City Administrator for the City of Blue Springs since January 2012, Dennis oversees multiple departments, including Parks, Finance, Communications, Information Technology, and Courts. Prior to this role, Dennis held positions such as Director of Parks, Recreation, Buildings and Grounds and Director of Parks and Recreation in Liberty, MO, as well as Superintendent of Recreation for Jackson County Parks and Recreation. Dennis's career began as a Program Coordinator at Liberty Parks and Recreation and progressed through various roles at YMCA organizations. Dennis earned a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
