Ilana Haimes

Ilana Haimes is a Zoning Compliance Planner II at the Boston Planning & Development Agency since October 2023. Previously, Ilana served as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences from August 2021 to May 2023, focusing on AutoCAD courses and marsh migration research. Experience also includes a position as WEDG Fellow at the Waterfront Alliance, where updates to the Waterfront Edge Design Guidelines were made. As an Engineering Technician for the City of Ithaca's Department of Public Works, Ilana contributed to shoreline stabilization projects. Additional roles included time as a Water Resources Management Specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and various teaching and assistant roles. Ilana holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Spanish, and International Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
