Steve Ganesh

Steve Ganesh currently serves as the Commissioner of Planning, Building, and Growth Management for the City of Brampton, overseeing a team of 300 staff focused on development approvals and public policy. Previously, Steve held several roles at the Region of Peel, including Growth Management Strategist and Acting Director of the Corporate Strategy Office, where strategic leadership in growth management and corporate strategy was provided. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Transportation Planner with the City of Mississauga and as a Senior Policy Analyst with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Steve holds a degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University and is pursuing ongoing education, including a CAO Leadership Program at York University.
