Rashid Azimov

Rashid Azimov is an experienced Urban Forestry Technician with a current role at the City of Brantford since 2023, focusing on tree-related issues, maintenance, and public inquiries. Prior to this, Rashid worked as a Consulting Arborist at Davey Resource Group, Inc., where responsibilities included completing Arborist Reports and developing urban forestry strategies. Experience as a Plant Health Care Technician and Arborist at Davey Tree Expert Co of Canada involved pest identification, pesticide application, and tree care services. From 2011 to 2017, Rashid served in various capacities at Bioversity International, contributing to projects on fruit tree genetic resource conservation and agrobiodiversity in Central Asia, including scientific coordination, data management, and community training initiatives. Rashid holds a Master's degree in Forest Conservation from the University of Toronto and another Master's in Sustainable Development from Université d'Auvergne, alongside a Bachelor's degree in International Economics.
