Marcela Tapia

Marcela Tapia, CPA, is an accomplished finance professional currently serving as the Assistant Finance Director for the City of Brawley since May 2025. Prior to this role, Marcela held positions as Accounting Manager and Staff Accountant at Controlled Thermal Resources Holdings, Inc. from January 2023 to May 2025. Marcela’s extensive experience also includes serving as Finance Manager at Management & Training Corporation from September 2014 to May 2023, and as Business Manager at Imagine Schools from May 2010 to December 2014. Marcela holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from San Diego State University, earned between 2008 and 2010.
