Jennifer Owens currently serves as a City Council Member representing District 2 on the Brookhaven City Council since August 2023. Jennifer is the President and CEO of HealthMPowers, Inc., a position held since August 2020. Jennifer has extensive experience in policy research and advocacy, having held senior positions at the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute from January 2015 to August 2020, where responsibilities included leading policy initiatives and managing national affiliations. Previous roles include Deputy Political Director for Jason Carter's gubernatorial campaign, Director of Development and Outreach at the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute, Advocacy Director and Development Director at Georgia Organics Inc., Executive Director at the League of Women Voters, and Director of Education at The Clean Air Campaign. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor Degree in Public and International Affairs from The University of Georgia and a Certificate of Executive Education in Leadership in the Social Sector from Babson College.
