Joe Laster Mpa

Joe Laster, MPA, currently serves as the Emergency Operations Manager for the City of Burleson, having assumed the role in January 2023. Prior to this position, Joe held the title of Lake Worth/Saginaw Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Saginaw from September 2020 to December 2022, where responsibilities included planning and coordinating emergency operations and managing training and evaluation initiatives. Joe's extensive experience in law enforcement includes serving as a School Resource Officer and Peace Officer for the City of Kennedale, a Security Professional at Universal Protection Solutions, and various military police roles in the Texas Army National Guard and US Army. Joe's educational background encompasses a Master of Public Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security from Texas A&M University, along with degrees in Emergency Administration and Planning and University Studies.
