Dave Ellenwood

Dave Ellenwood serves as the Director of Parks Recreation and Cultural Services for the City of Burnaby since January 2008, overseeing a department with approximately 1,000 employees and managing a budget of $60 million. This role involves collaboration with elected officials, senior government staff, and the public to establish municipal policies related to park maintenance, recreation programs, and cultural services. Prior to this position, Dave Ellenwood was the Assistant Director of Strategic & Business Planning for the City of Burnaby from July 2001 to December 2007, where responsibilities included budget management and strategic direction development. Earlier experience includes serving as the Manager of Corporate Planning for the District of Delta from July 1996 to June 2001, focusing on corporate priorities, utility management, and liaising with provincial and regional entities.
