Lee-Ann Garnett serves as the Deputy General Manager of Planning and Development at the City of Burnaby, overseeing a team of over 150 planning and development professionals since November 2013. Key achievements include leading the development of major strategic initiatives such as the Mayor's Task Force on Community Housing and numerous significant housing, transportation, and social planning policies. Prior roles include Assistant Director in Long Range Planning at Burnaby and Senior Planner at Metro Vancouver, contributing to the award-winning "Metro Vancouver 2040" regional growth strategy. Lee-Ann has also held planning positions at the City of Delta and the City of New Westminster. Educational qualifications include a Master of Planning from The University of British Columbia, a Diploma in Urban Studies from Simon Fraser University, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from The University of British Columbia, and participation in the Leading from the Frontlines Leadership Program through the Local Government Management Association.
