Sam Crawford is an experienced engineering specialist currently employed by the City of Cañon City since May 2018, with previous roles as a public works inspector. Prior employment includes positions as a geologist at Apex Companies, LLC from August 2015 to May 2018, and as a staff geologist at ALTUS Environmental, LLC from March 2011 to August 2015, focusing on well remediation and soil contamination. Sam has also worked as a geologic consultant, a field specialist at Weatherford Laboratories, and as an on-site geologist for Anadarko Petroleum. Earlier experiences include guiding rafting tours, serving as a mud logger for Ellora Energy, and volunteering as a teacher with the United States Peace Corps in Tonga. Educational qualifications include a degree in Geology from Fort Lewis College and studies at The Evergreen State College and McLean High School.
