Jim Watkins is the Southeast Missouri CERT Alliance Coordinator, a position held since 2008, responsible for coordinating disaster awareness and preparedness initiatives across thirteen counties in Southeast Missouri. Previously, Watkins served as the Grant Director for Cape Girardeau Schools from 2003 to 2008, overseeing the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program, and held the role of Elementary Principal at Washington and Franklin Elementary schools from 1988 to 1998. Jim Watkins holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Tuman State University and advanced certification in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, along with a Bachelor of Science in Education from College of the Ozarks.
