Macc Mary Ann Denning

Mary Ann Denning, MAcc, CFE, serves as the City Comptroller and formerly held the position of Accounting Manager at the City of Carbondale Government since April 2017. Prior experience includes roles as Project Consultant for Primary Health Care Provider and Cost Accountant/Cost Controller at AISIN Electronics, where significant contributions included authoring a comprehensive cost management manual and facilitating monthly finance and cost meetings. Additional experience encompasses various positions in academia and the private sector, ranging from Graduate Assistant at SIUC College of Business to Owner/Proprietor of Dix International Trading. Denning holds a Master of Accountancy with a focus on Auditing and Accounting Information Systems from Southern Illinois University and has participated in multiple annual conventions hosted by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
