Sara Nelson

Sara Nelson has over two decades of experience in emergency services and law enforcement. Currently serving as a Police Sergeant and School Resource Officer Sergeant for the City of Casper since August 2005, Nelson has a background as a Detective focusing on Crimes Against Children from 2013 to 2018 and as a Patrol Sergeant. Concurrently, since 2012, Nelson has worked as a PRN Paramedic at Memorial Hospital of Converse County. Previously, Nelson held positions as a Paramedic and Flight Paramedic at Wyoming Medical Center, and as a Supervisor and Paramedic at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Early experiences include service as a Firefighter, Paramedic, and EMT with the WI DNR/US Forestry Service. Educational credentials include training from the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy, a Technical Diploma in Emergency Medical Technology from Northwood Technical College, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Fire Technology and Administration from Lake Superior College.
