Maria Fernanda Perez is an experienced professional in environmental engineering and education. Currently serving as a Stormwater Specialist for the City of Cedar Falls since July 2019, Maria has previously held roles such as a Technology and Engineering Instructor for the Cedar Falls Community School District, where Maria Fernanda facilitated a program connecting high school students with local businesses. Additional experience includes positions as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Northern Iowa, a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Iowa focusing on flood processes, and an Environmental Specialist at the Iowa Waste Reduction Center. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science in Conservation Biology from the University of Minnesota, along with a Teaching License from the University of Northern Iowa.
