Matthew Tolan is an experienced civil engineer with a strong background in structural design and construction administration. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at the City of Cedar Falls since September 2017, Matthew previously held the position of Civil Engineer II. Prior experience includes working as a Technical Designer at PK Associates Structural Engineers from March 2016 to September 2017, where responsibilities involved collaboration on commercial building projects and providing structural calculations and plan details for design development. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Civil Engineering from Arizona State University and an Associate of Science in Civil Engineering from Mesa Community College. Additionally, Matthew has had educational experiences at Hawkeye Community College and the University of Iowa.
