Shelby Gappa is an accomplished Promotions Writer and Producer at KWWL since December 2014, where responsibilities include creating engaging on-air and online promotions to attract audiences to newscasts, as well as scripting, filming, and editing newscast teases for various time slots. In addition to this role, Shelby has served as a Production Assistant for Cedar Falls Community Television since September 2010, producing news packages and managing video for local sports events. Previous experience includes working as an Ad Trafficker for Cedar Falls Utilities and an internship at KUOO/KUYY/KUQQ, focusing on radio spot production and music programming. Shelby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Electronic Media with a minor in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Broadcasting from Iowa Lakes Community College.
