Thom Weintraut is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in urban planning and community development. Currently serving as Planner III for the City of Cedar Falls since August 2020, Thom has previously held the position of Principal Planner for the City of Auburn, AL, from July 2014 to August 2020, and Senior Planner for the City of Columbus, Indiana, from February 2001 to June 2014. Thom holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a Certificate in Community Planning from the University of Illinois Springfield, completed between 2017 and 2019, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from the University of Kentucky, earned from 1996 to 2000.
