Jane Shafer Larson

Jane Shafer Larson currently serves as a Food Safety & Cannabis Investigator at the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment since August 2023. With a rich background in public safety and advisory roles, Jane has been a member of the Centennial Public Safety Advisory Committee and the Open Space Advisory Board since October 2016. Previous experience includes working as a Service Coordinator II at Rocky Mountain Human Services from 2021 to 2023, and as a Safety & Training Specialist at Irvine Ranch Water District from 2007 to 2015. Earlier roles include Account Manager at Sunrise Growers (2004-2006), District Manager at Dole Food Company (1999-2004), and Building & Safety Technician/Planner I with the County of Santa Barbara (1994-1999), where Jane concurrently gained experience in Planning & Development. Educational qualifications include a BS in Agriculture Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, an AS in Water Science from Santiago Canyon College, an AA in Liberal Studies from Allan Hancock College, and a diploma from St. Joseph High School, along with studies at the University of Southern California.
