Joe Solomon

Joe Solomon currently serves as a City Councilor for the City of Charleston, WV, and is a Co-Director and Co-Founder of Solutions Oriented Addiction Response WV, where a dedicated team advocates for harm reduction services. Solomon has a varied background in public health and social work, including roles as a Harm Reduction Education Coordinator at Cabin Creek Health Systems and Special Projects Coordinator at Global Zero. With over a decade of experience in social media and storytelling, involvement has included positions at 350.org and Energy Action Coalition, where Solomon developed engagement strategies and led youth training initiatives. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Solomon holds a Master of Social Work from Marshall University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vassar College.
