Cathy Buchhofer

Cathy Buchhofer is an experienced facilities and operations manager, currently serving as the Facilities Construction Program Manager for the City of Charlotte since March 2025. Prior to this role, Cathy held the position of Vice President of Arena Operations with the Charlotte Hornets from December 2021 to March 2025. Past experience includes leadership roles at the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, where Cathy was Director of Support Services at Spectrum Center and General Manager at Bojangles’ Coliseum & Ovens Auditorium. Additional positions include Sr. Operations Manager at Baltimore Arena with SMG, Assistant Operations Manager at NASCAR Hall of Fame, Operations and Production Manager at SMG, and Director of Operations at Live Nation. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Science in Sports Management with a Project Management Certificate from Western Carolina University.
