Alex Bockelman

Alex Bockelman has extensive experience in information technology and systems engineering, currently serving as the Systems Engineer Team Lead for the City of Chesapeake since July 2020. Prior to this role, Bockelman held several positions within the City of Virginia Beach Information Technology, including Converged Architecture Systems Engineer 2 and Solutions Engineer 2, where responsibilities included leading VMware Horizon and Workspace ONE migrations and providing architectural support for various city applications. Bockelman's earlier career includes significant roles at Old Dominion University, encompassing a range of IT specialist positions, where key achievements involved maintaining virtual desktop infrastructures, developing software packages, and managing computer support services. Bockelman holds a BSBA in Information Technology Management from Old Dominion University.
