Kevin Smith has a diverse work experience over several years. Kevin started their career as a Coordinator for Social Issues at Student Union Activities in 2009 and held the position until 2012. In 2012, they worked as a Finance Assistant at Berkley for Senate. In 2013, they joined WaterOne as a Management Fellow and worked until 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they served as a Management Fellow at the City of Sterling, IL. Since 2015, they have been working at the City of Chicago Office of Inspector General, starting as a Performance Analyst and moving up to Senior Performance Analyst in 2019. Currently, they are the Chief Performance Analyst at the same organization.
Kevin Smith completed their Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree at The University of Kansas from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of General Studies degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the same university, which they attended from 2008 to 2012. In 2010, Kevin briefly studied International Law and Legal Studies at the University of Cambridge. Additionally, they received certifications such as Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers, Coaching and Developing Employees, Delivering Employee Feedback, Lean Six Sigma Foundations, Six Sigma: Green Belt, and Certified Inspector General Auditor from various institutions, including LinkedIn and the Association of Inspectors General.
