James Ramos, MBA, MSC, currently serves as the Managing Deputy City Treasurer for the City of Chicago since July 2016 and previously held the role of Chief of Staff for the 21st Ward. Prior to these positions, Ramos was the Associate Director of Government Affairs at the City Colleges of Chicago from 2014 to 2016 and Vice-President of External Affairs & Director of Outreach at CEEP Chicago from 2011 to 2014. Additional experience includes serving as Deputy Director of Public Affairs and Communications for Cook County Government and Training Officer at the Chicago Police Department's Education and Training Academy. Ramos holds a Master's degree in Communications from Northwestern University, an MBA in Organizational Behavior from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Chicago State University.
