Leslie Hairston

Leslie Hairston is a seasoned public servant and attorney with extensive experience in civic leadership and legal expertise. Serving the City of Chicago since May 1999 as the Alderman of the 5th Ward, Leslie Hairston has contributed to local governance and community advocacy. Additionally, Leslie Hairston holds the position of Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the Illinois Office of the State's Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor and is a committed member of the 5th Ward Regular Democratic Organization as a Democratic Committeeman. A member of the Black Women Lawyers Association of Greater Metropolitan Chicago Area, Leslie Hairston is also the owner of the Law Offices of Leslie A. Hairston. Educational qualifications include a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
