Joel Gist

Joel Gist is an experienced professional with a diverse background in law enforcement, education, and construction. Currently serving as a Police Officer for the City of Chico since June 2021, Joel's previous role as Program Director at Calvin Crest Conferences involved strategic leadership and talent acquisition for a large seasonal staff, along with the development of innovative summer programs. Joel has also held various positions within outdoor education, successfully instructing thousands of students annually and collaborating with community groups to support at-risk youth. Education includes a Master’s of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Fresno Pacific University.
