Joseph Fackel serves as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Cleburne since January 2025, following a notable career in economic and community development. Previously, Joseph held the position of Regional Vice President of Strategic Development at The Sports Facilities Companies from 2021 to early 2025, where significant contributions included facilitating impactful sports and recreation projects. Joseph also served as Senior Fellow and Vice President at Buxton, and was a Founding Partner at The Canvass Group, focusing on retail growth opportunities for public sector clients. As Executive Vice President at Retail Strategies, Joseph expanded the firm's client base into new markets across several states, while earlier roles at Buxton and TBA Global involved leadership in consumer analytics and event production for major corporations. Joseph holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed a Basic Economic Development Course at California State University, Fresno.
