Francisco Porras

Francisco Porras serves as the Chief Information Officer for the City of Coconut Creek, where responsibilities include directing the strategic activities of the IT department, managing computing functions, and promoting innovative technology agendas since April 2012. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Vice President for Information Technology at Mohave Community College, Chief Information Officer at SunGard Higher Education for the College of Southern Nevada, Vice President of IT at Lakeland Community College, and CIO positions at Walden e-Learning and Gannon University. Earlier career highlights include serving as Director of Information Technology for the Eau Claire Area School District and Director of Information Systems and Services at The Fielding Institute. Porras has a foundational background in administrative computing, having held managerial roles at Rice University and the University of Houston. Porras holds a Computer Science degree from Kensington University.
