Austin Brass

Austin Brass, AICP, is an experienced urban planner with a strong background in land use, historic preservation, and zoning administration. Currently serving as an Urban Planner and City Planner in the City of Columbia, TN since February 2020, Austin previously held a City Planner position in the City of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and a Senior Planner role in Prattville, AL, where important recommendations for best practice standards were administered for land use policies. Additional experience includes serving as Zoning Administrator/Assistant Planning Director for the Cass County/City of Logansport Joint Planning Department, alongside roles as a City Council Intern in Huntsville, AL, and conducting research as a Graduate Assistant. Austin holds a Master’s Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from both Alabama A&M University and Ball State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of North Alabama.
