Aaron Johnston

Aaron Johnston, EFO, serves as the Director for Region 8 of the Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association, representing Anoka, Sherburne, and Wright counties since February 2023. With a long tenure at Coon Rapids Fire Department since January 1994, Aaron Johnston has held various positions, including Assistant Fire Chief, Fire Captain, and Firefighter, overseeing operations, training, and incident command functions. Additionally, Aaron Johnston has been the Treasurer for the Coon Rapids Fire Department Relief Association since February 2007, managing its assets. Previous experience includes serving as a Project Manager at Wasteland Performance and a Senior Customer Service Representative at Allianz Life. Educational credentials include an Executive Fire Officer designation from the National Fire Academy and a Master's degree in Organizational Management from Concordia University-St. Paul, supplemented by a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology from Bemidji State University.
