Kevin Nevels

Kevin Nevels first moved to Coppell with his parents and brother in the spring of 1997. Nevels, after meeting his future wife at CHS, graduated from Coppell High School in 2001. Nevels graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in Radio, Television, and Film. Nevels opened Coppell Taekwondo Academy (now Championship Martial Arts – Coppell) in May of 2010. For over a decade, Nevels has worked hard to instill leadership and positive character traits into the young people who train at his facility.

Kevin first got involved with the Coppell Chamber of Commerce when his business joined in 2010. Nevels later joined the Board of Directors of the Chamber in 2014 and later served as Chairman of the Board in 2020. Nevels is a graduate of Leadership Coppell and CISD’s iLead program. He has also participated in the Living Well in Coppell committee and served on the Coppell Vision 2040 Executive Committee. Nevels is currently helping develop an official Alumni Association for CISD.
