Amy Backer

Amy Backer has extensive experience in human resources and payroll management, currently serving as a Human Resources Analyst for the City of Coral Springs since March 1998. Responsibilities include implementing the Bentek Benefits Portal for over 1,000 employees, managing enrollments for retirement plans, overseeing the Benefits Portal, conducting annual Open Enrollment meetings, and addressing employee inquiries with confidentiality. Prior experience includes serving as an HR Project Support Specialist, where payroll processing for over 600 employees was managed. Earlier in their career, Amy worked as a 911 Emergency Communications Dispatcher, where emergency calls were handled and resources were dispatched efficiently. Amy holds an Associate of Arts degree from Broward College, obtained between August 1993 and May 1996.
