Tina Friend

City Manager at City of Coronado

Tina Friend currently serves as the City Manager for the City of Coronado since September 2021, following a tenure as City Manager for the City of Scotts Valley from June 2019 to September 2021. Prior to these roles, Tina worked in the City of Santa Cruz, initially as Assistant City Manager from August 2010 to May 2019, and previously as Principal Management Analyst and Council Affairs Manager from 2005 to 2010. Tina's career began in the public sector as a Research Analyst in the Department of Financial Services at Fairfax County Public Schools from 2000 to 2003. Tina Friend holds a Juris Doctor degree in Public Law from Santa Clara University School of Law, a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Idaho.
