Manuel Chavez

Manuel Chavez currently serves as the City Council Member for District 4 in Costa Mesa, a position held since November 2018. Chavez has been an Elected Delegate for the California Democratic Party since January 2017 and previously worked as the Constituent Services Manager in the Office of Supervisor Katrina Foley from April 2021 to January 2023. Additional experience includes roles as an Underwriter and Funding Coordinator at United Auto Credit Corporation, and leadership positions within various Democratic organizations, including South OC Regional Chair for the Orange County Young Democrats and Vice Chair of the Costa Mesa Democratic Club. Chavez also held positions in sales management and youth leadership prior to entering public service. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, and a degree in Religious Studies from UC Irvine, complemented by a high school diploma from Estancia High School.
