Michael Peterson

Michael Peterson is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Coordinator for the City of Crystal since July 2015, where responsibilities include coordinating and managing the city's communications programs and promoting the Crystal community. Prior experience includes a similar role at the City of Prior Lake from July 2006 to July 2015, where Michael developed city-wide marketing plans, served as a public information officer, and managed various communication channels. Earlier positions include Communications Specialist at the Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Brown College, illustrating a diverse background in public relations, media relations, and education. Michael holds a Master of Arts in Communication Arts and Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Public Relations, supplemented by an A.A.S. in Media Production.
