John Gabbard

John Gabbard serves as a City Council Member and Planning Commission Chair for the City of Dana Point since March 2021, bringing a wealth of experience in real estate and development from various leadership roles. As Principal at Miramar Properties since January 2016, Gabbard focuses on acquiring undeveloped entitled property in California. Previous positions include Vice President at Foremost Companies and Richmond American Homes, as well as Director of Land at Alliance Commercial Partners. Gabbard's extensive experience in land acquisition began at KB Home and spans to a military background as a Major and Engineer Officer in the United States Marine Corps. Gabbard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Sciences from Wilmington University and an educational background from USC Marshall School of Business.
