Alonzo Jones

Alonzo Jones has extensive experience in public service, currently serving as Mayor of Danville City Council since July 2018, and previously holding the position of Vice Mayor since July 2016 and serving as a City Council Member since July 2010. Prior to their roles in city government, Alonzo Jones worked at Averett University as the Director of Facilities from February 1999 to September 2016 and spent nearly 18 years at the Danville Register & Bee as Promotions Manager and NIE Coordinator.
