Bryce Simmons has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Bryce started their career at Dewberry as a Project Engineer, where they evaluated and reported alternatives for civil and environmental projects. Bryce also prepared construction cost estimates and obtained permits. After working at Dewberry for four years, Bryce joined the Virginia Department of Health as an Environmental Engineer Senior. In this role, they managed personnel, provided technical assistance for regulatory compliance, conducted inspections, and made compliance recommendations. Bryce then worked for the City of Danville as the Public Works Chief Engineer, responsible for overseeing public works projects. Currently, they are serving as the Economic Development Director for Patrick County, Virginia.

Bryce Simmons obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 2003 to 2007.
